My my, it's been a while...

Sun Jun 7, 2009, 5:16 AM
It has been quite a while since I last wrote on this actually. Hectic time with exams and what not, but things are calming down, for now. I am temporarily back home in Crete for the European Elections but I'll be back in Athens tomorrow evening. Then I'll return in early/middle July for summer. A hectic summer but anyway :P

I submitted a couple more stuff. I should probably go submit some Photoshop works of mine too, since my sketches do suck (argue otherwise if you dare :P ) and since I have waaay to little Photoshop stuff here in DA even if they form most of my works around here. Ha.

On an unrelated note: Check out :iconYansiRoo:'s gallery! She is new around here in DA and has amazing photographs from all over my home island, Crete :)

wish you were thrown in a gulag, you've had the thrill of your life, cheers!
:iconantartis:
Do you even know what did the Gulag use to be? Open a history book, please. I think you meant to say "labour camp."

:iconjacquesmartel:
Yeah? You read the books of someone who actually was imprisoned in one of those "labour camps" like Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago. Besides you like Turks... how dumb are you? Ever read what the Turks did to Greek heroes like Athanasios Diakos? hint: They impaled them thru their anus. Ever heard about the Mikrasiatiki Katastrofi the genocide of the Greeks from Pontus, the Istanbul Riots of 1955, or the Fall of Constantinople? It's you who need to read history books.
:iconantartis:
For the record, GULAG, capitalised, is an abbreviation meaning "Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps and Colonies" - Russian "Glavnoye Upravlyeniye Ispravityel'no-Trudovih Lagyeryey i koloniy"

Open your history books my friend. There was only one GULAG, and that was the NKVD directorate that ran the "gulags" ie labour camps of the USSR.

And if you want to delve into history, don't forget that the mentions you make are just one side of the coin. Greeks committed crimes too, as did the British have labour camps of their own -and even invented them, for the record-
